When I’m rich and accomplished, I’ll say things like “Money doesn’t matter, your energy does.”
When I finally have a sculpted gym body, I’ll flex my bicep as if by accident, and I’ll say “Every body is beautiful."
When I’m famous, I’ll drive around in my fast car with the top down, and I’ll say “I miss being unknown”.
When I finally have the perfect artist’s studio, I’ll paint the finishing touches on my masterpiece while wearing a chiffon robe. I’ll livestream it.
I’ll go to parties and sashay around telling people, “None of this is real. We’re all energy. Everything is an illusion”.
When my friends ask me how I did it, I’ll say, “The universe delivered as soon as I let go of the outcome.”
But until further notice, I’ll keep showing up.
I’ll wake up early to get my kids ready for school- even when I don’t want to.
I’ll write average poems, and hope that someone says “Yeah, me too”.
I’ll paint pictures that a few generous friends admire.
I’ll write film treatments that end up in the bin.
And then I’ll do it again.
And again.
And some more.
